a super quick way to change up your home

2 QUICK, cheap and easy ways is...............

 cushion covers and home made artwork
they make major impact for little bucks!!

cushions are THE cheapest way to spice up a room as you just change the covers over and DONE!!

....here i have photos of some i had for sale in 2007 plus one from 2009 & the new ones in late 2010.

Also cushions give you a taste of a new scheme that you can cheaply live with for awhile & see if you are adventurous enough to branch out even further LOL
Being an eclectic kind of gal i never stick to just one theme...i like to mix it up abit and throw in another look somewhere in a room & wall art or cushions are a cheap & super quick way to just add that bit of another flavour.

i have already started working on an e-course on many different types of wall art you can make that is super quick, easy & cheap but with major 70s funky impact :)

op shopping....

hubby and i went out shopping {just for the boring things like food} BUT we came across an op shop .... YAY!!!
Please tell me i am not the only one who gets a little bit hyper at the thought of what 70's goodies i may find inside!!
and so about an hour later we found our way to the cash register with a couple of goodies..... for $45 :}

Prices seem to have gone up a fair bit in the 9months since i have been to an op shop but hey it all goes to good causes so one can't complain too much lol

but i am quite happy with my few little treasures..... now just need to find a cute place to display them - the salt & pepper shakers will be a little bit of statue art but i will sew up a ladies dress with the fabric :P
.......mmmm i feel a display area coming on,  maybe decorated with 1970s wallpaper?!!  :)

well apart from the obvious wonderful collection of MONEY - which would be awesome!!!!
[that is one collection i keep having a desperate need to offload to other people lol...darn online shopping!!........i......must.......stop........spending!!!]

what do you collect?

i have a love of interesting things of the past that have another life now more as an artistic display

...just like these cool Pez Dispensers..... dont they look awesome when displayed together?!

even just a few randomly placed together on a coffee table are a great starting point for a conversation {not to mention that they are just super kitschy CUTE!!}

what collections do you have or want to start collecting?

i know some collections don't get started til kids are older due to either their busy fingers {let's say a pez dispenser might just find itself jabbed up a kids nose with no-one owning up to Who did the jamming!~! lol} or indeed the rather decadent amount of money that some collections may require.

I plan to collect many things in the future, even tho it will be on a TEENY TINY SCALE...not sure if 3 counts as a collection?? lol
